Personalized pillows

Hello everyone!

I wanted to share with you all how I actually started to quilt. I came across Lori's Holt blog and fell in love with patterns and colors. At that time I only knew how to crochet. I "blame" her for my passionate love for quilting.

My first machine was my mothers-in-law. She used to work with clothes designers so she is actually very good seamstress. Machine was catalogue-bought, no name type, but it kept me satisfied. I am very grateful to this day, I have learned the hard way how to keep machine happy so it could work. Later, my mother gave me her 30 years old Bagat machine (our best domestic brand) "Danica", and as I kept quilting more serious she bought me my very own Bernina. My Bernette is one of my best friends.

Three years ago, around Christmas time, I was jobless and feeling kind of anxious because I did not have enough money to buy gifts for everyone. My sister gave me an idea - I could make personalized baby pillows for children in our family. And so it began. My baby pillows are first product I actually sold to my sister. She started talking everyone about it and everyone liked them. So my hobby began to grow to mini business.

Anty Made Me is my happy, stress free place. Now I have steady and satisfying job, however, I can not stop quilting. My husband says I either work or sleep, there is nothing in between. But quilting is so much more. It is my therapy against all the stress and bad things that happens all around us.

Please, feel free to share your stories with us.

Bee Happy,

Love,
Anty.

Hello, my name is Anty and I am here to get to know you.

Hello everybody!

I am so happy (and kind of scared) to be here with you, since I am not good with writing blogs, diaries or longer posts. I am an active member of Instagram social group, and now I feel it is time for me to start something challenging.

Few years ago, it just came to me one night that I might learn how to sew. Since I was unemployed at the time, I joined my local sewing class. Two months later I quit classes and started learning how to quilt form all of you beautiful ladies out there. Now I have a steady job, but I keep my sewing at top of my priorities, as it is my stress relief therapy.

I have done some quilting so far, most of those projects were for other people and custom made. My first big project is The Butterfly Garden Quilt from Lori's Holt Quilty Fun book.

I need to work on quality of my photography so I can show and tell my little projects to you. I hope I will get better with time with this blog, and that some of you will enjoy spending some time with me here.

Let the quilting adventure begin!
